Futurdrama?

I’m man enough to admit it: There are two episodes of Futurama that make me cry like a baby. Warning: Spoilers Ahead

The first is Season 3, Episode 10: Luck of the Fryrish. Fry spends almost the entire episode thinking that his older brother, Yancy, stole his 7 leaf clover, his name and all his good ideas. In the end we find out that Yancy didn’t steal anything from Fry, but missed him so much that he named his first born after Fry, and passed Fry’s lucky 7 leaf clover down to the child. It’s just so damn sweet that thinking about the scene where Yancy asks his wife if they can name their kid after Fry makes me all teary.

The second is Season 5, Episode 2: Jurassic Bark. Fry disovers the fossilised remains of his pet dog, Seymore, in a museum exibit of Old New York. Fry spends most of the episode working to clone his Seymore until he finds out that Seymore was grew to a ripe old age (16 I believe), living long after Fry was frozen. Mistakenly thinking that Seymore had lived a long and happy life, Fry abandons the project of cloning his pooch. The tormented viewer (read: me) is left with a montage of Seymore waiting patiently outside the pizza parlor where Fry worked, as days, weeks, months and seasons go by, before Seymore falls asleep (It may run slightly differently. I’m going off distant memory here).

It’s OK, man, just let it all out. Men are allowed to cry sometimes, especially when cartoons are involved.
